After the publisher, Nordic Games, was rumoured to have stealthily announced a remastered version of the original Darksiders at a convention earlier in the week, the new version has now been confirmed.

It's called Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, and it's coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U soon.

Amongst the technical upgrades, this new version contains native 1080p,
doubled texture resolutions, rendering improvements and rework, better shadow rendering quality, post processing effects, 60 FPS in moment to moment gameplay (30 FPS for Wii U).

There is no trailer yet, but we'll keep you posted.

Update: Nordic Games have now confirmed that the game will be released on October 25. It will retail for £14.99 ($19.99/€19.99) and the port is being handled by Kaiko who also worked on the Xbox One edition of Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition and Legend of Kay Anniversary Edition.
