After a few weeks of rumours, NRG has marked their official introduction into competitive Valorant with the signing of two former team members. Damien "Daps" Steele and Chet "Chet" Singh will be the founding members of the roster, and will serve as the base as NRG looks to fill in the remaining roster spots.
Daps was previously known over his time on the NRG CS:GO roster, where he helped the organisation achieve several victories across multiple minor tournaments. Daps was also part of the organisation when the team won the Intel Extreme Masters XIII tournament in Shanghai, netting a hefty $125,000 prize pool.
During the time period Daps played under NRG's namesake, Chet served as the team coach, leading the organisation as they achieved success across the Counter Strike scene. Since then however, Chet left NRG to coach Evil Geniuses, a team of which achieved success on a grander scale, netting over $350,000 in prize money across three tournaments.
