Cuphead is heading to Switch in April

Nintendo opened its Nindies Showcase with a crowd-pleasing announcement.

Nintendo opened up its Nindies Spring Showcase in style with the surprising announcement that Cuphead is launching on the Switch on April 18.

The run 'n' gun platformer, renowned for being hard as nails yet stunning to behold thanks to hand-drawn art and ingenious world and character design, was previously exclusive to PC and Xbox One, but the growing spirit of collaboration between Microsoft and Nintendo means that Studio MDHR's modern classic is heading to the hybrid console in just a few weeks.

The game is going to be priced at $19.99 USD / £16.99 / 19,99€. The day it lands it'll do so alongside a content update for all versions of the game, which will include: "playable Mugman in single-player, new fully animated cutscenes, never-before-seen art and fight intros, ten additional languages, a plethora of bug fixes, and plenty of secrets for players to discover."
