The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Twitter account has revealed some big changes that have landed in Valve's shooter, altering the way the game is played and introducing Prisma Cases, which will help you customise your guns a little bit more.

These cases feature "17 community-designed weapon finishes, and the Horizon Knives in Chroma finishes as rare special items," according to the patch notes, which also reveals that the in-game price of the AUG weapon has returned to $3,300 after several months at a discounted price.

Fans of the M4A1-S should also pay attention, as this now holds 25 bullets in the magazine, with 75 in reserve, and shotguns have had price reductions. The Nova is now $1,050, while the Sawed-Off is $1,100 and the Mag7 is $1,300.

Flashbang assists are also here "for players who successfully flash an enemy which then gets killed by another player. Players who threw the flashbang will get an assist callout in the death notice. However if another player inflicted >40 damage to the victim for the assist, the flashbang assist player will not get the callout."

Round loss bonuses have been adjusted as well to try and reduce a negative feedback loop following multiple losses, as they're now bases on the count of a team's round losses, increasing by one each loss and decreasing by one each win as follows:

With 0 Losses: $1400
With 1 Loss: $1900
With 2 Losses: $2400
With 3 Losses: $2900
With 4+ Losses: $3400

Before, a victory would reset the round loss bonus, but this only reduces the loss counter by one, and teams still begin the half with a loss count of one.
