Targem Games and Gaijin Entertainment have released the Wasteland Cup update for Crossout, and if you wanted a bit more football in the game, you're in luck, as this is where the game goes all Rocket League on us with a new mode and items like stickers and vuvuzelas to go with it.
A new PvP map is also included, and it's called Crater due to the giant crater in the middle created by a crashed space shuttle. There's excellent visibility and nowhere to hide here, so long distance is a very real possibility.
With regards to the Steel Championship, this version of football sees you harpoon a big ball to hurl towards a goal, played in a 3v3 format. Other players can't be destroyed, and you can queue up either with a team or solo, earning rating points to increase your place on the leaderboards. Higher spots mean harder leagues, and extra rewards for competing.
A Third Time pack can be purchased during the event, which lasts until August 14, including a Fan Van and football-themed decorations. What's more is that the update also tweaks the maps Broken Arrow and Ship Graveyard, not to mention El Diablo Gorge and Lost Coast.
For those new to the game, tweaks have been made to accommodate them, including receiving the new light vehicle cabin Sprinter early, and the maximum amount of parts a vehicle can be kitted with has been increased.
You can check out a few trailers down below to get a sense of what the update includes, out now for fans to enjoy. What's the highlight here?
