Spanish indie studio Crema has announced their new title Immortal Redneck, described as an "ultimate mash-up of cultures in a video game" where Southern hospitality clashes with the world of ancient Egypt.

Immortal Redneck is a first person shooter roguelite, and the plot follows a 'redneck' holidaying in Egypt who travels back in time accidentally. You then have to enter three pyramids with randomly generated dungeons filled with monsters to try and discover the mystery of what's happening.

There are nine playable classes in the game, with their own traits and skill trees to go with them, not to mention upgrades and over 50 weapons.

You can watch the announcement trailer below, and PC fans can expect the game in spring, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions coming later in the year. Is it us, or do you get hints of Serious Sam in this?
