There's often a lot of controversial and negative news swirling around the gaming world, but every now and then a story comes along that warms the heart and shows how gaming can be such a positive thing, which is exactly what happened with one Total War fan.

Reddit user TheMissingLink5 posted not too long ago that his little brother Robbie was diagnosed with leukemia late last year, with doctors thinking that he won't last long. Because of this, he reached out to try and get his brother a chance to play the newest Total War game - Three Kingdoms - with the May 24 release date being too far away considering the doctor's estimates.

This is when Creative Assembly saw his message and felt so touched by it that they decided to act, sending him a code for the game, which he then played.

"Watching the intro video he was amazed and out gorgeous it was. He went into detail telling me about the different people we could choose from, etc. It was a student trains teacher moment. I promise I will reply to each and everyone of you, and this thread will always be something I come to," TheMissingLink5 wrote.

The response on Reddit, from Creative Assembly and otherwise, has provided a lot of support to TheMissingLink5 as well.

Robbie passed away yesterday, and we send our condolences to his family.

REVIEW. Written by Matti Isotalo

"Plunging headlong into Chinese politics and intrigue will easily entertain would-be emperors for days on end."
