The wait for the third game in the Crackdown series has been a long one. And to be perfectly honest, what has been shown of the game hasn't always piqued our interest. The current, scheduled premiere is February 15, 2019, fingers crossed it will stick this time around.

Meanwhile, the developers decided to explain where the delays came from. In an interview with Windows Central, they admitted that they were "defeated by technology". Crackdown 3 is based on the Microsoft cloud technology Azure, which should provide better final results. As it turns out, the developers had serious problems with adapting the game to Azure, which in turn led to several missed deadlines. Will things go more smoothly this time around? We shall see come February.
