This past weekend has seen the 2023 Fortnite Championship Series coming to a close. With this being the case, we now have a new world champion, or rather two world champions, to report on.

Following an action-packed slate of events, all held in Denmark, the 2023 Fortnite world champions have been named, with this ultimately being the duo of Cooper "Cooper" Smith and Matthew "Mero" Faitel.

The pair, who have been competing together for the majority of the year, have won a few different regional tournaments, and can now add a world championship to this list to boot, with this even seeing the pair heading home with $1 million in prize money too.

As for what's next for the FNCS, Epic Games has yet to dish out the details on the 2024 season.
