Control releases on August 27

A release date was leaked but then confirmed, meaning we finally know when Remedy is delivering Jesse's adventure into the supernatural.

Game Informer has been a rather useful source of news for Control in terms of its release, as earlier this month they reported that it'll launch this summer and now they've been a touch more specific, informing us that August 27 is the date it'll be released for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

This was leaked on the Microsoft Store, but Game Informer claims to have confirmed it with Remedy. Of course PC players will get it on the Epic Games Store exclusively at launch, or alternatively you could wait another 12 months to get it in August 2020 on other PC platforms.

We've slowly been seeing and hearing more about Control as the months have gone on past its reveal at Sony's E3 conference last summer, including the fact that protagonist Jesse encompasses "strong, inspired, passionate" women, and that Max Payne and Alan Wake actors will be featured in the game too.
