Conan Unconquered

Conan Unconquered lands in May

We have details on the standard and deluxe editions too, the latter coming with added extras for fans of the Conan series.

Funcom has revealed a release date for the RTS game Conan Unconquered, set in the same universe as Conan Exiles but developed by the minds at Petroglyph, also responsible for Command and Conquer. This is coming on May 30, and there's either a Standard Edition or a Deluxe Edition, costing £24.99 ($29.99 USD, 29.99 euros) and £34.99 ($39.99, 39.99 euros) respectively.

The Deluxe Edition comes with the exclusive DLCs Kalanthes - a hero unit that can cast spells - and King Conan hero unit, as well as the original Conan Unconquered eBook and the game soundtrack.

"Conan Unconquered is not your typical RTS," says Petroglyph CEO Chuck Kroegel. "We like to call it a survival RTS, where instead of building a base and then moving out to attack your opponent, you will instead have to build a base that is constantly being attacked by invading enemy forces that grow more ruthless and more difficult over time. We're also very excited about our multiplayer co-op, allowing players to build a base together and amass an army as they work together to fight off the hordes. Working together in an RTS is incredibly rewarding and we want to bring that experience to the forefront."

REVIEW. Written by Claus Larsen

"Everything got a little monotonous, and this blend of gameplay is all that Conan Unconquered really has to offer."
