Cloud9 releases most of its Hearthstone players
Five individuals are moving on from the organisation.
Cloud9 is seemingly cleaning house in its competitive Hearthstone division, as the North American esports organisation has now announced that it is moving on and releasing five of its Hearthstone stars.
Specifically, members who have been with the team for between three and seven years are being dropped, with this including; Sanghyeon "DDaHyoNi" Baek, Cho "Flurry" Hyun Soo, Kim "LookSam" Jin Hyo, Jang "DawN" Hyun Jae, and "Portia". Content creator Sung Min "Ghost" Kim is also being released.
It's unclear as to what this means for C9's place in the world of competitive Hearthstone, but with such a mass release in mind, it seems likely that the team will be looking to scale back its efforts in the scene.
