Just yesterday we reported on the news of which team had been crowned LEC Summer Season champions, and talked about which organisations in this league had punched its ticket to Worlds 2022. We can also do the same for the LCS now.

And this is because following a season of competition, the winner of the LCS for 2022 has been determined, with that organisation being Cloud9 this time around. The team defeated 100 Thieves in the grand finals to take the tournament, and has now directly qualified for Worlds 2022's group stages - as has 100T.

For coming in third in the tournament, Evil Geniuses has also qualified for Worlds, but only for the Play-In bracket, meaning it will have to survive various matches to get back on even footing with C9 and 100T.

As for when Worlds 2022 is slated to start, the tournament kicks off on October 7.
