Wired Productions and Storm in a Teacup have revealed that horror game Close to the Sun will be releasing exclusively on the Epic Games Store for PC on May 2, and it's now available for pre-purchase for £24.99 ($29.99 USD, €29.99).

Everyone who pre-purchases will get an exclusive, limited edition digital artbook when it releases, and console players can get the game later in the year.

"May 2 can't come quick enough for us," said Leo Zullo, Managing Director at Wired Productions. "Our partnership with the amazing team at Epic Games has not only accelerated the development process of Close to the Sun in terms of accessing the sheer pixel-pushing grunt of Unreal Engine 4, but allowed the incredibly talented Storm in a Teacup team to showcase their collective talents to deliver a truly memorable and breath-taking first-person horror adventure."

The announcement also comes with the reveal of the voice cast for the French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions of the game, which can be found on the website.

To keep you entertained until the release date rolls around, we have a new trailer and some fresh screens below. Will you be getting it on PC?

REVIEW. Written by Sam Bishop

"It's not a horror classic by any means, but this world is filled with terror, sadness, and a lot that's beautiful in its own weird way, all of which is worth seeing."
