Hellbound

Check out our rampage through Hellbound

We have a demo for the shooter that's inspired by '90s classics like Doom, seeing whether it truly makes us feel nostalgic.

Remember the good ol' days in the '90s, when Doom and Quake were all the rage? These helped push first-person shooters to where they are now, and a lot is owed to these pioneers of the genre as a result.

One game looking to pay tribute to these games in a special way is Hellbound, a retro shooter that's taking us back to these kinds of shooters while also providing modern visuals. It's an interesting concept, and isn't a million miles away from the style of the Doom reboot.

A free demo is available to test this out while we wait for the full game, which you can find here, and we actually tried this as part of our Let's Play series, so we could check whether this really does remind us of the golden era where Doom reigned supreme.
