Charizard, Pikachu, and Gengar rank amongst the most expensive Pokémon card characters
Charizard tops the list with an accumulative card value of over $21,000.
Classic Pokémon cards have proven to be an absolute goldmine in recent years, with some cards selling for eye-watering figures of thousands of pounds.
With prices continuing to soar, CSGOLuck has analysed the value of all existing Pokémon cards to determine which creatures from the series are the most valuable. To the surprise of nobody, Charizard tops the list with an accumulative value of $21,482.70. Placing in second is series mascot Pikachu with $8,360.85, and in third is everyone's favourite Gen 1 Ghost-Type Gengar with $4,266.25.
A spokesperson from CSGOLuck commented on the findings: "While it will come as no surprise to fans of the franchise that Charizard ranked first, it's astonishing to see just how much more valuable the character's cards were in comparison to others. The fact that the face of the franchise, Pikachu, has over triple the number of cards in circulation than Charizard demonstrates just how popular and iconic the fire-breathing Pokémon is."
