Super Mario Maker 2 has been rather well-received, as it's already topped the physical UK charts to dethrone Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled. Speaking of games with a good reception, Celeste creator Matt Thorson (Matt Makes Games) has been playing a bit of Mario Maker as well, and you can see what he's made for yourself.
Yes, Thorson has shared codes for these levels on Twitter for you to try out right now, the first of which is about "bouncing on banzai bills in the sky," while another is called Desert of Despair. He's even shared his Maker ID as well, if you're interested, as well as some other levels we haven't listed here.
At Gamereactor we've tried some of these out, and the levels are really well-made challenges that require precise platforming skills and game knowledge to clear. In Shrine of the Sacred Stiletto you'll need to search the level for red coins which are hidden behind difficult platforming passages. Fortunately, the Celeste developer allows us to save multiple times during the stage with a clever trick.
Starlight Shells is another course that needs to be completed without Mario falling to the ground after he jumps. You have to go through the whole level in low gravity and, of course, find out how to get Mario safely to the end.
Banzai Bounce was Matt's first course and it's relatively simple. We have to finish the level by using the onrushing Banzai Bills as a trampoline, and it definitely has some cool ideas.
Have you tried them out yet?
