The Behemoth teased and then officially revealed Castle Crashers Remastered for both the PS4 and the Nintendo Switch, but when we spoke with producer Ian Moreno at PAX East this year, the Switch version seems to be the one that caught the studio's attention most.
"Over the years we've just had this overwhelming request to have it on Switch and PS4, and we're big fans of all consoles and we play games across all these consoles, and we wanted to be on all these, but we're a very small team, so there's only so much that we can do," he explained. "We finally shipped Pit People last year, and the timing was finally right. We were like 'okay, we're gonna bring these to these consoles and make everyone happy'."
"On the Switch there's HD Rumble going on, but we really wanted to have that four-player moment on local; it was just meant to be."
