While we'll know more about the imminent arrival of Alex to Street Fighter 6 thanks to this week's Capcom Spotlight, that'd leave fans with just Ingrid left before the summer... and for the rest of the year?

Well, not quite. Those fans are also looking forward to the Street Fighter movie that will screen in theatres around the globe on October 16 (take a look at its first teaser below and meet the cast here), and it has now been confirmed that Capcom will naturally take advantage of the awareness boost to try and make more people play the game.

How? It isn't clear, though one could definitely expect some dedicated outfits and other cosmetic nods to the film, but for now this is what they answered in their latest financial Q&A when asked whether the live-action movie would have a positive impact on the franchise's sales:

"We intend to expand sales opportunities by aligning marketing initiatives with the film's release."

What do you expect those "marketing initiatives" to look like? And do you expect the rumoured Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Character Pass (reportedly adding Q, Makoto, Menat, and Vega to the roster) to kick off right before that?
