Capcom recently confirmed at the Evo Japan 2024 event that fighting esports will be returning to the country in the near-future. Following on from the Capcom Cup X tournament, next year's event will be heading to the Ryōgoku Kokugikan venue in Japan, making it the first time the fighting event has been hosted in the country.

We're told it will be boasting a $1 million prize pool for its competitors to fight over. However, further details about the tournament have yet to be revealed, but we are told to expect more information as the season progresses.

Granted, there is no rush, since Capcom Cup 11 will be held in 2025.
