Firewatch seems to be one of the first great indie successes of 2016. The game came out on PC and consoles at the beginning of February and it has received praise among both critics and players. Apparently it has also sold very well.

Developer Campo Santo announced today on Twitter that Firewatch has out-sold their wildest expectations. According to the message this also means that the small developer will be around for "while" and will be able take on new projects in the future.

Campo Santo has not yet shown any hard sale figures, but according to
Steam Spy Firewatch is estimated to have sold around 200,000 copies on PC. That is an outstanding record for a game being out less then a month from an indie studio made up of less than fifteen people.
