Call of Duty: Modern Warfare shows 24 minutes of gameplay

Infinity Ward has given us more multiplayer gameplay. Five modes across five maps, including the incredibly immersive Realism mode with no HUD and a heavy focus on night vision.

We shared a lot of gameplay footage from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare two weeks ago, but we know many of you want more. As does Infinity Ward, so they've given us twenty-four minutes of more.

These minutes are fairly varied, as they're split between five modes across five maps. You've seen all of the maps before if you've seen our earlier footage, but one is new because we weren't able to capture it before the multiplayer reveal. That's the Realism mode. This is where the focus on the improved night vision goggles and lighting really comes into place, as darkness really is dark, and using the googles will reveal the enemy when they aim down sight. Add to this the fact that there's no HUD, yet having full health unlike Hardcore, and you might understand why this is the mode for those of you who want to take full advantage of the new door mechanics and NVG while your heart really starts pumping.

REVIEW. Written by Andreas Juul

"Does this make for a paradigm shift for first-person shooters? No, but it's nothing short of spectacular nonetheless."
