Call of Cthulhu is an RPG-investigation game based on H.P. Lovecraft's novels, and we spoke to developer Cyanide Studio about the game in Paris.

Based on the best selling H.P. Lovecraft novels and the pen and paper RPGs they inspired, Call of Cthulhu will blend investigation mechanics with role-playing and stealth, and, naturally, it'll come with a horror-tinged atmosphere.

The game will have a unique story written by Mark Morrison, famous for his writing of scenarios for the pen and paper RPG. The studio describes the game thus:

Call of Cthulhu is an RPG-Investigation game with psychological horror and stealth mechanics, set in a deeply immersive world. On a mission to find the truth behind the death of an acclaimed artist and her family on a backwater island, the player will soon uncover a more disturbing truth as the Great Dreamer, Cthulhu, prepares its awakening...
