Bottlerocket Entertainment have closed down operations after seven years in business. The company was founded by members of Sony's The Mark of Kri team and their first game was the sequel Rise of the Kisai.
The downfall of Bottlerocket Entertainment has a lot to do with their misfortunes on the Splatterhouse project with publisher Namco Bandai. They were taken off that project in the beginning of the year after allegedly failing to make milestones deliveries. The project was moved to Namco Bandai's in-house studio (Afro Samurai) and Bottlerocket were left scrambling to make ends meet.
Very little if anything has been heard from Splatterhouse since the change of developers.
