As you've probably heard by now, famed comedian and actor Robin Williams passed away yesterday, and the web has been abuzz with condolences and memorials since then.

Robin Williams was an avid gamer (his daughter, Zelda Williams, is named after the Legend of Zelda games) and he spent many hours in World of Warcraft, among others. Blizzard is well aware of that, and going by their Twitter, it seems they're planning on adding a permanent memorial to the actor in the game.

".@robinwilliams Thank you. You gave us so much joy in our lives, and we hope you enjoyed your time in our world. We'll see you in-game.

The statement comes after an online petition asked Blizzard to pay tribute to Williams in-game. More than 10,000 people signed.

Blizzard has a record of honouring dead players in their evergreen MMO, both with NPCs and questlines.
