Blizzard explains how WoW Token system works

Now you can get game time or Battle.net balance.

Starting today, users of the ever popular MMO World of Warcraft will be able to exchange their WoW Tokens in new ways. According to Blizzard, and as explained in the video below, the tokens acquired at the auction house of the game will now be redeemable for 30 days of play time (just like the subscription service) or balance for your Battle.net account. The latter can then be used as gold to purchase other in-game services such as character transfers, pets or mounts, and this being a universal currency within the Blizzard universe, you can also invest it in other games from the publisher, to get different goods. But click play on the following video feature for a better description. Are tokens your top priority in WoW?
