BLAST has announced that it has banned a German professional Rainbow Six: Siege player for impeding a cheating investigation. Maurice "AceeZ" Erkelenz has been issued a lengthy ban that lasts for around 18 months and until the end of the 2024 season, which concludes with the Six Invitational 2025 at the end of February 2025.

Speaking about the decision to ban AceeZ, BLAST has stated: "On October 17, 2023, Maurice "AceeZ" Erkelenz was found to have taken actions to impede an investigation into alleged cheating behaviour, which is directly in breach of the BLAST R6 Global Rulebook.

"As per the BLAST R6 Global Rulebook, the player has been issued an immediate competitive suspension lasting until the end of the 2024 season, after the last day of the Six Invitational 2025. The competitive suspension applies to all BLAST R6 tournaments and to Off-Season Rainbow Six Siege tournaments organised by Ubisoft and/or BLAST."

AceeZ has not released a statement in response to this decision.
