Bethesda are pulling out all the stops for their presence at this year's E3. They'll make a big brouhaha about Dishonored 2, are likely to reveal a Skyrim remaster, and are promising lots and lots of gameplay reveals.
They'll also host a concert by pop punk band Blink-182, for some reason.
If you're not a fan of annoyingly catchy but entirely superficial and fundamentally disappointing singles like "What's My Age Again?", "All the Small Things" and "First Date", you don't need to cancel your E3 watching plans. The Blink-182 concert isn't part of Bethesda's actual showcase and livestream. Instead, they're playing at what Beth calls "BE3 Plus", a post-showcase event that's only open to the people in attendance.
At least that's how we read the not-very-detailed press release. Bethesda does plan some sort of show from BE3 Plus featuring interviews and other stuff, so worst case scenario is that we have to sit through one or two clips of forty-something men pretending to be teenage surf punkers.
This isn't the first time Blink-182 plays at a game-related event. The band also closed out BlizzCon in 2013. We weren't excited about that either.
