BBC pulls Ozzy Osbourne film due to family wishes
The film will still release, but it missed its scheduled time for programming.
As the rock and roll world still mourns the death of icon Ozzy Osbourne, a BBC film that would have taken a look at his life has been delayed from airing, following the wishes of Osbourne's family members.
"Our sympathies are with the Osbourne family at this difficult time. We are respecting the family's wishes to wait a bit longer before airing this very special film. The new [transmission] date will be confirmed shortly," said the BBC.
The film covers Osbourne's final years, including his return to the UK, his final concert, and his death which shortly followed. It was originally meant to be a 10-part series following the Osbournes, but as Ozzy's health worsened, it was converted into a single, hour-long film.
No new date has yet been given for the film, but it will arrive in time so as not to disrespect the family's wishes.
