As reported by VG247, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' Battlegrounds Charity Invitational 2017 has raised over $123,000 USD for charity, and with Bluehole Studio matching up to $100,000 in donations, this means that over $223,000 has been raised.

The charity the event is supporting is called Gamers Outreach, and provides technology and software in order to help children who are receiving treatment in hospitals. You can still donate to the cause here, as well as find out more about it.

As for the event itself, the Charity Invitational saw top Twitch streamers compete, and in the end it was MrGrimmmz and Anthony_Kongphan who took home the trophy with 7 and 6 kills respectively. Could this game make for a good esport?
