Battlefield 1's In the Name of the Tsar shown off at E3

EA focussed on Battlefield 1 early on during their E3 conference. There was a focus on so-called "only in Battlefield moments", with the publisher sharing some fun YouTube highlights before getting into the meat of the announcement.

First up, there's going to be two new night maps, Neville Nights and Prise de Tahure, coming this summer. But they are only the first two of eight new maps coming to the shooter.

The game's upcoming expansion, In the Name of the Tsar, is bringing six winter-themed maps to the game, along with cavalry units, new weapons and gear, the infamous Battalion of Death, and presumably lots of snow. One of the new maps, Lupkow Pass, will be at E3.

The publisher also teased a new game mode. They didn't reveal much but hinted at something smaller, a tighter experience. More on that front will be revealed at Gamescom.
