Battle Princess Madelyn hits Kickstarter target

The Kickstarter for Causal Bit Games' adventure title Battle Princess Madelyn has hit its target of $60,000 CAD in five days, reaching as much as $105,755 at the time of writing, meaning a number of stretch goals have also been fulfilled too.

Limited Run Games are also teaming up with Causal Big Games to offer a physical edition of the PS4 version to campaign backs, as well as other collectibles and merchandise for the game.

"The reception for Battle Princess Madelyn has been phenomenal. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would fund this fast and it continues to grow!! Fans have been telling us that our game is the spiritual successor to GnG that they've been anticipating for all these years," said Christopher Obritsch, Creative Director at Causal Bit Games. "We're now seeing our stretch goals being achieved faster than we can add them. The pledges and support we're receiving will ensure our team creates and innovates the game as best it can be."

The campaign isn't over yet, though, as it runs until April 4. The game will release on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Wii U, and Xbox One early next year.

"Battle Princess Madelyn is a game that follows the journey of a young knight in training, Madelyn, and her ghostly pet dog, Fritzy. They set out on a journey to save her kingdom and her family from the clutches of an evil wizard," the description on the game's Steam page reads.
