Battalion 1944 has a roadmap of content for next 12 months
A huge content drop is coming early next year and there's a continued commitment to esports from Bulkhead too.
Bulkhead Interactive has just launched Battalion 1944 in full alongside a massive content update, but that's far from the end of the road for the shooter, as they've just unveiled a roadmap for the next year of free content and major updates after release.
What's more is that this includes an investment of $650,000 USD into upcoming esports tournaments as well, with The Plays summer Blitzkrieg Open and Premier Leagues registration open right here. This has $20,000 at stake alone, but there's plenty more coming.
Over the next 12 months we can expect weekly news updates and special event map rotations, as well as larger seasonal updates roughly every eight weeks, featuring new game modes, seasons, map reworks, competitions, community-requested features, bug fixes, and more. Mid-season updates will be deployed around four weeks into these seasons too, playtesting map reworks, balancing weapons, fixing bugs, and other things.
We also get news of a "huge content release" coming early next year, featuring a British faction; competitive reworks of Savoia, Docks, and Invasion; British weapons; everything that would usually come with a seasonal update; and additional languages.
From today until July 29 at 12:00 BST (13:00 CEST) there's a double XP weekend to celebrate the release of the roadmap too, so it's a good time to jump back in.
