The Batman: Return to Arkham collection is now available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and includes remastered versions of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. These remasters, however, don't offer a mere increase in resolution. The graphics engine, Unreal Engine has been updated to the latest version, and this had a considerable effect on what both games look like.

While the new versions are undeniably technically superior, it's also obvious that the original version had a darker tone, a difference that might leave some fans disappointed. Below you can see images of the two versions and compare them.

REVIEW. Written by Ricardo C. Esteves

"It might boast a noticeable graphical improvement across two fantastic games and their respective DLC, but it also comes at a cost."
