After rumors have been spreading in recent weeks, Rocksteady (unfortunately) confirmed it officially today: the highly anticipated third and final game of Arkham trilogy, Batman: Arkham Knight, has been pushed back into 2015.
Guy Perkins has confirmed the news during a press event with The Escapist, saying that the project is "super ambitious" and it took "more time" than they expected working with the new-gen platforms.
"We just want to make the best experience we possibly can and we need more time to do that," said Perkins. "I think what we've shown so far is a super ambitious project and we just want to make sure we are giving Batman fans and gamers the best Batman experience that we can possibly deliver and that just takes time.
"I think we would be doing fans a disservice if we didn't spend the time on the title. We just want it to be really great."
Bad news for those of us who hoped to be able to drive Batmobile at the end of this year. We'll just have to be patient and wait until next year, when Batman: Arkham Knight One will land on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
