The 2008 off-road racer Baja: Edge of Control is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a new and improved version, also known as a remaster, as announced today by publisher THQ Nordic, who also revealed what improvements we can expect. Here we'll find better textures and higher frame-rate, accompanied by better shadows, lighting, and particle effects. Those of you who like to look closely at the details will also be able to enjoy 4K resolution (which could mean anything above 1080p).
We've included some screens from the HD version below. The game supports 4 player split screen and online, more than 100 tracks, and nine open worlds where you can compete with others or just free roam. You'll also get to choose from Hill Climb, Baja Endurance Races, and Closed Track Races.
Baja: Edge of Control HD will be released both digitally and in retail Q2 this year. What other older racing games should get a remaster?
