Square Enix has revealed that they're bringing the big guns to Gamescom in Cologne this month, as from August 20 to 24 visitors can play Marvel's Avengers and the remake of Final Fantasy VII, as well as Final Fantasy XIV Online, Trials of Mana, and Kingdom Hearts III.
This will be the world's first hands-on demo for Avengers, letting fans play as Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, the Hulk, and Black Widow, experiencing the prelude to the story as was hinted at in the Square Enix press conference at E3.
This will also be the first time that fans can play Final Fantasy VII: Remake in Europe too, with 72 stations providing hands-on demos. Trials of Mana makes its global debut at the show as well, featuring a new demo ahead of its launch in early 2020.
Final Fantasy XIV Online fans can expect booths using Acer Predator hardware too, and there are challenges, prizes, and stage shows to enjoy, including director Naoki Yoshida and main scenario writer and world lore creator Banri Oda. There will even be a cosplay competition on August 23.
What's more is that was can also expect to see merchandise prototypes for Final Fantasy VII Remake in Cologne, a demo space for Square Enix board games, and the debut of Episode 4 of Life is Strange 2, landing on August 22.
