Australia's first university esports scholarships offered by QUT

The Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane has revealed plans for Australia's first university esports scholarships, with five scholarships worth $10,000 AUD available for those proficient in League of Legends.

Those interested can apply until November 16 and this is all part of the elite athlete category of scholarships at the institutions. The five selected students will then represent the university in the 2019 season of the LoL Oceanic Challenger Series, which may lead to future opportunities in the Oceanic Pro League. QUT has experience in the Challenger Series already, with the QUT Tigers already making an appearance, and the university has even got a gaming arena already.
