Astroneer is a game about exploration and making big bucks

System Era Softworks takes on No Man's Sky.

Astroneer is an interesting looking game. It's being developed by System Era Softworks, a team made up of veteran game developers with experience ranging from Valve, 343 Industries and Ubisoft. There isn't a ton of information about the game at this point, but some info can be found on the website.

The player will land alone or with friends on unexplored worlds. These are generated procedurally, so they should offer almost endless supply of different planets. Pioneers can explore and excavate planets while building different bases and equipment to suit their needs.

The game is scheduled to arrive on Steam's Early Access during the first quarter of 2016. Check out the first pictures below.
