Assassin's Creed: Unity seems to be a first in the series in many regards, including co-op, new-gen consoles, new movement gameplay and dedicated stealth buttons. It also appears to be a completely new start for the series, according to Creative Director's, Alex Amancio, words to Examiner:
"It's a new start, it's a new narrative start," he said. "That is symbolized by a completely new context for the present day. You've seen a little bit of an evolution with Black Flag, [but] we're not going to do the same thing. What we're doing with Unity is really the beginning [of] this new cycle of Assassin's Creed games."
"Because it's new, we can actually explain it properly because nobody is going to feel like it's redundant. I would say that Assassin's Creed Unity is the best entry point for the franchise since, [Assassin's Creed I]," Amancio concluded.
Assassin's Creed: Unity is shaping up to be a massive upgrade and chapter in the series. We got confirmation that the game and the world is being build from the grow up with co-op in mind, during our own interview with mission director Bruno St-Andre.
Assassin's Creed: Unity will be released at October 28, for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
