Fox insiders have reportedly told The Hollywood Reporter that the Assassin's Creed movie, which was set to appear in cinemas in August of 2015, will not be ready in time and will likely now see release sometime in 2016.

The movie, which is set to star Michael Fassbender and Robert Downey Jr., is apparently based around the Assassin's Creed II trilogy. The delay is reportedly because of script rewrites and production scheduling issues.
