We've been playing quite a bit of the new hack 'n' slash game from the very capable team at Capcom (and you can read our review here. In fact, we've played the game so much we ended up finding all of the game's secret missions and thought we'd share them in a guide for those of you desperately looking for the glowing pentagrams on the wall. Each mission will award you with a blue orb fragment which, once you collect four of them, boosts your maximum health. Is that last secret mission keeping you up at night? Don't worry, help is here, right down below (with pictures, of course).

Secret Mission 1
Mission Objective: Kill all enemies within the time limit

Those of you looking to get through every secret mission will probably not miss this one as it's part of the game's tutorial guide, but we'll add it in any way. You'll find this, as we mentioned, through a tutorial screen in the hotel in Mission 2. After the vines smash some walls down you'll have to turn right to continue. Stand on the glowing point by the bed and look ahead to where you're supposed to go align the ritual emblem to start the secret mission.

Secret Mission 2
Mission Objective: Don't let any of the Red Empusas' escape

When you enter the sewers, after having turned the tentacles blocking the way into dust, you'll get to a staircase. Go down the stairs and head straight for the corner by the arched doorway in front of the lower part of the staircase and look up towards the grapple orb. The secret mission pentagram is on the ceiling.

Secret Mission 3
Mission Objective: Collect all red orbs

In Mission 4 you will come across a fight with some challenging enemies by a building clad in graffiti. Spawning your Nightmare companion here will prompt your monster to burst out of that wall. This will give you access to a blue orb fragment in the room from which he came. If you take a right after entering the aforementioned building through the hole, you'll find a second nidhogg hatchling that you'll need later. After a while, you'll come to the next area with enemies, make sure you take the nidhogg hatchling from before, entering the factory building as well as the one prior. In this area, you'll see a secret mission emblem on a wall during the encounter, but you have to proceed forward to get it. To do that, continue along the main path and take a left at the crossing, use the nidhogg hatchling on the wall and grab the blue orb fragment in front of you. To your left in the secret area is another nidhogg wall and this is what you have to open to get the secret mission. Go through the second nighogg blockade, head up the building and look through the hole in the wall. Here is Secret Mission 3.

Secret Mission 4
Mission Objective: Kill all demons without taking damage

Once you get to the factory in Mission 5, with the tentacles attacking from above, move along until you drop down the first time. In front of you is a massive wall. Slice the clot behind you to your right and enemies will spawn. Come back to the wall and use Nightmare. He will burst through. After defeating some enemies, head up the stairs to your right and look down from where you came. That's right, you just found Secret Mission 4.

Secret Mission 5
Mission Objective: Reach the goal without touching the ground

In Mission 8, at the second lava elevator (not the bloodstreams but the ones with the platforms) you'll want to jump to the right when facing the lava stream. Stand on the platform and grapple on the two moving grapple orbs. Drop down from the ledge onto the circular platform and stand in the middle of it. Facing where you came in is the secret mission.

Secret Mission 6
Mission Objective: Eliminate all enemies in 20 seconds or less

In Mission 9, when you get to an open area with a once grand, now ruined building to your left and a ledge with a tree to your right. Go straight ahead and head left at the wall. Use Nightmare to get through the roots blocking the path. Here you'll find a free blue orb fragment and a secret mission. Stand on the top of the platform straight ahead and face the door from which you came in from and you'll see it.

Secret Mission 7
Mission Objective: Weaken the enemy and take it down with one hit

In Mission 10 you'll go through a lot of different encounter areas with some having pulsating doors that close automatically after a while so you can't take your time when eliminating the enemies if you want to experience some secret areas. After encountering the erratic empusa with scythe-like arms, don't proceed ahead through the main pathway, instead, go right through the hole that's bound to close. Follow the path here until you get to a small room and stand in the middle of the platform in the middle. Look towards the continued path and you'll find Secret Mission 7.

Secret Mission 8
Mission Objective: Maintain an S rank or higher

While in the ruins with Dante in Mission 11 you'll come to an area where you have to drop down through the floor of a building to proceed. Instead of doing that, slice the blood clot hiding in the lowered floor like you're supposed to, prompting the floor you're on to lower. Jump out of the hole instead of proceeding and go back from where you came in. Stop before you come to the drop and head up the platforms to the second level of the tower-like structure. Stand in the left corner facing the wall by the drop and at face level and you'll find the next secret mission.

Secret Mission 9
Mission Objective: Stay in the air for 15 seconds or more

In Mission 12, after jumping down the hole you opened from under the statue, jump up the ledges but instead of continuing ahead, turn around and jump across. Look towards the main path and you'll find the ninth secret mission.

Secret Mission 10
Mission Objective: Get to the goal without touching the ground

In Mission 14, after getting your three companions back, proceed until you have to slice two blood clots to proceed. The second one, located at the base of the "ramp" you'll go down not only opens up the main path but it gives you the opportunity to explore the area behind the clot as well. Here you'll find Secret Mission 10.

Secret Mission 11
Mission Objective: Reach the goal within the time limit

In Mission 15, proceed as usual until you get to the customisation statue. Head down the path the statue's back is facing and pick up the punch line devil breaker. Hold B or O to mount the arm and glide all the way to the top of the hill. When at the top, the secret mission is to your right before you jump down again.

Secret Mission 12
Mission Objective: Collect a set amount of orbs

In Mission 16, follow the main path and jump down the many hell holes on the way. At one point you'll fight two Chaos lizards and a Fury lizard (two spinning fellers and a teleporting one) and after this fight you have to either drop down the hole by sneaking through an opening in the platform you're starting on or keep an eye out for a massive red cluster tree on a ledge when dropping down. From here, jump to the small ledge across from you with the green orb on it and face the wall below the platform you came from. Jump into the hollow in the wall and you'll find the last secret mission.
