A week ago, we got the first screenshot from Ark: Survival Ascended, which was kind of strange considering that it is supposed to be released this month and both screenshots and trailer should have been shown a long time ago. While that October release window is closing fast, we have now got the first gameplay presentation, which was shown during the Xbox Partner Preview event.
It turns out it will be released as an Early Access/Game Preview title for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X - and it will make the intended October release as it premieres... today. Judging by the video, it's a pretty massive upgrade over the original game, and the trailer shows some of the new technologies like Lumen and Nanite, which give the game more realistic and beautiful lighting, vegetation and water. Studio Wildcard also reveals that remasters of the maps Scorched Earth and The Island will be released in December.
Check out the very good looking trailer below.
