Apex Legends' new Charge Rifle getting a balance update

This season's weapon isn't where Respawn wants it to be, and changes are incoming as a result.

With Season 3 of Apex Legends this month, fans got a new weapon called the Charge Rifle to try out, which is a little like the Spartan Laser from Halo, although don't get too comfortable with it, as it's getting updated and tweaked.

This is evident from the Trello board for the game, showing that the "current charge rifle balance is not where it should be. Changes incoming."

That's about all we know, and given what fans are saying about it, it's likely that this is going to be toned down a notch - nerfed.

The Charge Rifle was just one new feature with Meltdown (Season 3), as we also got a new Legend called Crypto, as well as the World's Edge map. A Halloween event is also spicing things up this month as well, bringing new cosmetics.
