Some gamers raised concerns about Mario Kart Tour when it was revealed to have a premium subscription service on release, and now it seems that another Nintendo game - Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp - is getting a similar feature.
A screenshot shared on ResetEra reveals the news, as an in-game update post tells players that a paid subscription service is being rolled out on November 21, coinciding with the second anniversary of the worldwide launch.
In one plan, you can appoint an animal as a caretaker to help around the site, while in another plan you can get fortune cookies (containing items) and the ability to store your furniture and clothing in warehouses with increased capacity.
On November 20 new videos will be released to give us more details, but as you can imagine, the news has already stirred up some strong emotions online, similar to what happened with the mobile Mario Kart title.
What do you think of this service?
