Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp gets its own loot boxes

They're instead called Fortune Cookies.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has recently added the option to buy Fortune Cookies in the pastry shop, each of them containing a random item like furniture or clothes alongside a fortune message, which essentially fills the role of loot boxes in Nintendo's mobile game.

There are three different types of Fortune Cookie - Tommy's Fortune Cookies cost 500 bells; Filbert's Rocket Cookies stand at 5,000 bells; while the most expensive ones, Rosie's Pop-Star Cookies, go for 50 leaf tickets each. Players can get this in-game money by walking with the game, completing missions, or leveling-up the character, but the other option is to buy leaf tickets with real money.

The real question is - do you think these Fortune Cookies are as problematic as other loot box situations?

REVIEW. Written by Clover Harker

"Whilst the mobile version of Animal Crossing has a lot of elements from its predecessors, it fails to provide the same vibe we have come to love and expect."
