Along with updating its hardware sales figures, Nintendo has also revealed just what titles have sold the best on its hybrid console over the last nine months. Perhaps unsurprising to nobody, it was Animal Crossing: New Horizons that led the way with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe trailing narrowly behind in second place. According to Nintendo, New Horizons sold 19.41 millions units in the last nine months and has sold 31.18 million overall since its March 2020 launch.

New Horizons being on top might not be a surprise, but there are a handful of unexpected entries within the top 20 games for the period. Ring Fit Adventure came in fourth place with 5.95 million units sold and was able to beat out "must-have" tiles such as Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Super Mario Party also managed to achieve the respectable rank of seventh place with 3.72 million units sold, despite receiving mixed reviews and launching in 2018.
