Android phones are getting a big change in India, as thanks to a new condition in the Indian Mobile Application Distribution (IMADA), you'll only have the Play Store automatically installed as a requirement on an Android phone.
Other Google Apps like Search, Maps, and Chrome are optional installations. While this doesn't affect the rest of the world, it could be Google testing out some new Android options with certain market areas.
This clearly isn't going to be a popular decision with Google, which will now no longer have 11 apps automatically installed on each Android phone. This will also allow users to set up their own default search engine as well.
Would you want these changes to come to the rest of the world?
