Panache Digital Games' Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is an upcoming game from Patrice Désilets - who created the Assassin's Creed franchise - and a new trailer has revealed when we can expect to play the game. It will be launching on PC via the Epic Games Store on August 27, with PS4 and Xbox One versions landing in December.
The latest video isn't just about a release date though, as it covers one of the main pillars of the game - expansion. As Désilets explains, success in the game is determined by your clan and your family, not by you as a lone wolf, and helping others will encourage them to join you on your journey.
The game spans from 10 to 2 million years before us, and is set in Neogene Africa, letting you explore jungles, savannah grasslands, and more. It's a survival title at heart though, so caring for yourself and your clan members' needs is vital, like health, sleep, drinking, and eating.
We previewed the game last month, so if you're interested you can read that here before you check out the video below.
Does this sound like a cool concept?
