Amazon reportedly working on game streaming service

We don't have a lot of details, but it's rumoured that the giant company could start the service by 2020, following in the footsteps of others.

In the last few years retailer Amazon has moved from simply selling games to self-publishing some exclusive gaming projects on their own, and now reports have emerged claiming that the massive company could start its own games streaming service by 2020.

That goes back to an article in the magazine The Information, which claims to have spoken to sources that seem to know about Amazon's plans. Further details aren't mentioned, however, and without official confirmation we should advise a pinch of salt to go with it.

In any case, streaming seems to remain an important trend for years to come, as major companies such as Google, Microsoft, Sony, and Nvidia are already focusing heavily on this area. Sony's PS Now service is doing the same as well, so it's plausible to think that Amazon might want a slice of the action.
